Prayer for John's Surgery Tomorrow-Tuesday 11th @ 3pm

We just got word from John's family that he is scheduled tomorrow at 3pm for surgery. (Time of surgery was changed to 3...but let's keep our prayer times the same to cover prep and recovery!)

From John's update site:

They decided today that tomorrow at 3pm they are going to take John back into surgery and put a shunt in to drain the excess CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) his body is producing off the brain and back into his body. Doctor said this might put John a week behind in starting rehab but the doctor feels it will be better to take care of it now.

We know that what he needs most from us at that time is prayer, so let's flood that room with the Lord's presence at 3 pm. The surgery is scheduled to last 3-4 hours.

Here are the specifics that John's family are asking for prayer:

So areas that we still need to continuing praying over are:
1. The surgery to place the shunt, work for John's good and be performed without complication
2. His lungs to heal and for the antibiotics to work and kill the infection completely
3. He come off sedation easily and quickly. We don't want him to lose any ground that he has worked so hard to gain, for his progress to be superior to where he is now, after surgery.

Keep it Coming!!

Well, I am sure that we can speak for everyone, in saying that we are going to 'keep this prayer list going'!!!

Amazing miracles swept through John's body this week, and with all that we have we are going to continue pouring out our hearts and prayers out to our Father asking Him to heal John. It is already evident that He is hearing our requests! We ask that these minutes-hours that are spent in prayer for John, be focused and intentional with all of the specifics that are listed on John's Update site. These are the areas that we pray John will overcome quickly so he is able to begin rehabilitation and the road to recovery.

Thank you again for all of the prayers for John, April, Caden & Dalton and all the Keller family! I know they are feeling the blessing of your prayers! Please stay strong for them through prayer!!!

Hourly Prayer for John -- March 3rd-10th

THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO THE MANY PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WHO ARE PRAYING FOR JOHN, APRIL, THEIR BOYS AND THEIR FAMILIES. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR NAME AND TIME OF PRAYER IN THE "COMMENTS" SECTION, AND WE WILL ADD IT TO THE TIME-CALENDAR (see at bottom):

We ask that you pray for 1-hour, the same hour everyday, for 7 days starting today, March 3rd-March 10th. At that point, you will be able to change times, if you choose, so that we can continue on into the weeks following.

We know that this is going to be a long road for John, so with this prayer-chain blog we are hoping to fill ALL the opening times, to make sure that John and his family are being completely covered in prayer. Thank you to those people who are praying during the night hours also, as we know that John's body is on no time schedule. We want prayers during those hours as well, to ensure that he is filled with the Holy Spirit even while family is not able to be there with him.

Please check back throughout the week, letting us know any thoughts you have for his family, or anything that God is revealing to you thru this dedication to prayer. Don't be hesitant, even if you do not know John or his family, please pray if you feel led to do so. Thank you more than words can say...together as a body of Christ we pray for healing for John's body, mind, spirit!

Update: It looks as if we have all the time slots filled...Praise God!! However, as we all know there is no such thing as too much prayer. Please continue to 'sign-up' for times that you would like to pray for John and his family, and we will continue to add you to the list!
